FARM EXPERIENCES

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS

Refunds of event fees will only be given if:
- The event is cancelled or rescheduled due to host illness or insufficient participants as certain numbers are required for farm experiences. Should an event have to be cancelled due to insufficient enrolments or host illness, all participants enrolled in that event will be contacted and an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.
When a refund cannot be provided:
-Fat Goose Farm cannot accept responsibility for changes to participants' personal circumstances that prevent attendance, or “change of mind” or “postponements due to Government restrictions”.
- If you choose to withdraw, then Experience fees are forfeited. Ticket/s can be transferred to another attendee, however this is your responsibility to arrange. If you wish to do this, please arrange your replacement and notify us of the name change so they can attend.
- It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they remember to attend an event. If you forget the date, your ticket is non-refundable.

YOUR OBLIGATIONS

You must comply with all requests from us with regard to health and safety. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the event (in which case no refund will be provided). You may not bring any equipment or items of a hazardous or dangerous nature to the event. If you act in any way which in our opinion is likely to cause any harm or nuisance to any person at the event, you will be required to leave the event and we shall not be liable to refund your ticket fee or any other payment.
You must keep your personal belongings with you at all times and we accept no liability for any damage to, loss of or theft of any of your belongings or other items brought to an event by you.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

Whilst every reasonable precaution is taken by us to ensure security and safety at the workshop, we shall not in any way be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you in relation to the event. As a working flower farm, there are naturally hazards and risks throughout the farm. Attendance and participation at our events are entirely at your own risk.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO

Photos and/or videos may be taken during the workshop for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed/recorded, please let a staff member know before the workshop starts. Photography and/or video will be used to promote workshops and events via social media, marketing materials and website.

DAHLIA TUBERS

Dahlia tubers will be available for sale in Spring (after planting out our farm). We will only be selling viable tubers once they have shown eyes.
All varieties will show as sold out until the sale is published.

At this stage we will not be shipping orders and all tubers must be collected from the farm in Wedderburn. If you cannot attend the allocated pick-up day we will do our best to arrange an alternative day. Please know however that we cannot take responsibility for any deterioration of tubers if you delay your pick-up day.
In case of online sales- all online sales are for farm pick-up and will not be posted.
If any varieties that you order do not make it through storage, you will be contacted immediately and given a refund - I do not substitute tubers at my discretion as you are obviously ordering specific varieties.
Please contact me immediately (with photographs) if there is any issue with your order and we will advise what to do - if a tuber arrives not viable we will refund it (claim period is maximum one week after collection). A Dahlia Growing Guide is provided with your order to assist you in storing and growing your Dahlia's successfully, however NO responsibility is taken by me for the tubers or their growth after you have received them. You need to monitor your tubers while they are being stored to ensure they stay in a viable condition. Every climate and soil type is different so it is very important you learn what works in your individual environment.
Please note that tubers should not be planted until all risk of frost has passed. The general recommendation in Australia is that Dahlias are planted the first weekend of November, but you can alter this to suit your own climate (at your own risk).
All Dahlia tubers available from Fat Goose Farm have been grown, harvested, sorted and packaged on the farm. No tubers are brought in from any other grower.
