Join us on the farm for a hands-on beginners workshop and learn how to grow your own beautiful dahlia blooms!
This 2- hour workshop will cover how to grow, dig and divide dahlia tubers. You’ll get your hands dirty lifting your own dahlia clump and take home a variety of tubers to grow on in your own garden.
Included in the workshop
A small group session where we will be demonstrating how to lift and divide dahlia clumps. You will have the opportunity to dig and divide a dahlia clump of your own from our flower farm.
We will also discuss how to grow dahlias from seed and tips on supporting plants to produce beautiful healthy blooms through the growing season as well as how to successfully store tubers over winter.
Printed booklet with information covered in the session to take home
You will also have the opportunity to swap tubers with other members of the group and take home a variety of named cultivars.
Morning tea refreshments
Please bring your own gardening gloves, otherwise we will have disposable gloves ready for you.
Spend a fun morning with like-minded people and share a laugh and wander around the Fat Goose Farm winter garden.
PLEASE NOTE-
All participants must have a pre-purchased ticket to attend
Unfortunately we cannot have children under 16 at the dahlia workshop
Please know that we are a farm with pot holes, insects and mud so please wear appropriate shoes and wet weather jacket if needed.
Tickets are non-refundable, however if you are unable to make our session you may certainly send a friend along in your place. Please contact us to let us know any changes.
Our workshop will go ahead with light rain however in the event of extreme weather you will be notified and refunded if Fat Goose Farm has to cancel the workshop for any reason.
